Routine Cleanings & Examinations

Routine dental cleanings and exams are just as important as maintaining at-home oral hygiene habits. During these visits, we will remove any calculus and plaque from your teeth, perform any needed x-rays, and examine your mouth for any changes. Regular cleanings help eliminate surface stains and bacteria from your teeth, which helps prevent gingivitis, decay, and gum disease. In addition to cleaning your teeth, we will polish your teeth, perform an oral cancer screening and provide you with information about how to maintain your oral health between visits.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Composite or white “tooth-colored fillings” are used to repair damage due to decay. To prepare your tooth for the filling, we will first remove the decay and prepare the tooth. From there, a tooth-colored material is applied and cured and bonded to your tooth with a special LED light. The filling is cured, it is then polished and shaped to match the rest of your teeth. The result is a natural-looking, virtually undetectable alternative to traditional silver/amalgam fillings.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding offers an alternative to veneers. It can be used to restore chipped, discolored, cracked, or misarranged teeth. For most patients, this procedure can be completed in a single office visit. It will significantly improve the appearance of a tooth. The bonding material is not as strong as natural tooth enamel, so it is more likely to chip, stain, or break. Dental bonds typically last three to five years before a repair is needed.

Enamel Shaping

This treatment is used to correct minor aesthetic problems with the teeth. This includes irregularities in the shape or texture of your teeth. In addition, we use enamel shaping to correct chips, minor overcrowding, surface flaws, or teeth that come to dramatic points. This procedure typically requires no anesthesia only a small portion of the tooth surface to be contoured.

Teeth Whitening

With our teeth whitening options, you can achieve the bright, white smile you’re dreaming of! We offer both in-office and take home whitening options. With the Zoom! Whitening system, we are able to dramatically improve the appearance of your teeth in one office visit. For patients looking to brighten their teeth at home, we offer customized at-home systems. This inexpensive method is safe and allows you to correct discoloration within the comfort of your own home.

Dental Implants

For patients missing teeth, dental implants can provide a natural-looking, stable tooth replacement option. Implants consist of three parts: a titanium post which is surgically placed into your jawbone; an abutment which placed into the internal structure of the implant; and some type of restoration to replace the tooth/teeth. Implants can be a conservative way to replace teeth without utilizing adjacent, healthy teeth to support the restorations. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Single-Visit Crowns

To ensure our level of care remains at the forefront of our industry, we have incorporated the Planmeca CAD CAM Restorative system into our treatment repertoire. With this system, we are able to produce single-visit restorations such as crowns, bridges, and veneers. All of our restorations are designed to restore function and aesthetics to your smile.

There are many benefits to this system, including eliminating the need for messy impression materials, a significantly lowered wait time for restorations, and customized, natural-looking results. In addition, it allows us greater control over the quality of your restoration and ensures you receive the results you deserve. We believe this technology elevates the entire dental experience for both patients and dentists alike.

A dental crown is a common restoration option for patients who have severely decayed or damaged teeth that cannot be repaired with bonding or fillings. To restore function and aesthetics, the crown covers the remaining healthy tooth structure. To ensure the most natural look, porcelain is often used for crowns.

A dental bridge is utilized to restore structure to your smile by closing gaps caused by missing teeth. If you have lost teeth from decay, gum disease, or injury, a dental bridge can be an effective way to replace your missing tooth/teeth and eliminate the unsightliness in your smile. Your bridge will be permanently cemented to your teeth and will look and act like your natural teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

Ready to rejuvenate your smile? Looking for long-lasting results? Veneers are a great restorative option for patients who want to correct staining, spaces between teeth, chips, or cracks. Veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth, so you receive a permanent, beautiful restoration option.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures. This treatment is performed when an infection reaches the pulp of a tooth. When this happens, the tooth can no longer heal itself. During the root canal, we will clean out the bacteria and dead tissue, which restores health to the tooth. To restore function and prevent further infections, the tooth is refilled and sealed with a crown or filling.

Removable Dental Appliances

At times we have patients that are missing numerous teeth and are looking for an affordable option. Removable partial dentures (a metal framework with acrylic teeth bonded on it) and full dentures (a pink acrylic plate with teeth attached) can be an efficient way for you to restore your mouth to full function. These appliances are custom made specifically for you and can also be used in combination with implants which can provide a better fit.

All-on-4® Dental Restorations

The All-on-4® treatment concept is a cost-efficient, graftless solution that provides patients with a fixed full-arch prosthesis on the day of surgery. This treatment option can provide a rapid improvement in the quality of life, shorten treatment times, and lower costs in comparison to traditional implant restorations. Dr. Corbet and his staff work with other dental professionals to help guide you in making the right decision about improving your smile with the All-on-4® treatment concept.

Nitrous Oxide

For patients who have anxiety about dental visits, we offer nitrous oxide sedation to help relax and calm the patient. Commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is a blend of oxygen and nitrous gas. When inhaled, this gas has a calming effect. At the end of the visit, you will breath 100% oxygen which eliminates the nitrous oxide from the body — within a matter of minutes.

Sleep Apnea

A range of treatments for obstructive sleep apnea includes CPAP, surgical procedures and oral appliances. Dr. Corbet is trained to provide oral appliances and will sit down with you to help you determine if an appliance is an option for you. Also if you are looking for an alternative to your CPAP, Dr. Corbet can work with you and your specialist to decide if you can be a candidate for the oral appliance. To determine which treatment is right for you, please contact us or speak with Dr. Corbet during your next appointment.
